Installation

Our responsibilities for a typical new project are as follows:

  1. Arrange all necessary permits and opening notices with the relevant authority.
  2. Organize civil works and reinstatement as required.
  3. Install the cable/fibre-optic/wireless transmission infrastructure and commission specialist contractors as required to prepare the infrastructure ready for use and provide records of any relevant test results and certificates.
  4. Arrange installation of electrical supply either from a local supply or an unmetered supply by the relevant power company
  5. Conduct all relevant electrical testing and provide certification as required.
  6. Bench test and set up field equipment, in the presence of the client representative if required, prior to installation.
  7. Install and connect signal cabling as necessary at the control room in readiness for insertion of the field equipment into the control system.
  8. Carry out all programming and mapping of control equipment, employing specialist contractors as necessary.
  9. Install field equipment, conduct local quality and functional tests and record results.
  10. Perform signal level tests and record results as required on incoming signals at the control room prior to insertion into control system.
  11. Conduct functional tests at all operator positions and record results.
  12. Compile a detailed project-specific O&M manual.
  13. Produce Site Acceptance Test documentation for completion with the client representative.

Maintenance

Planned Maintenance of system equipment is scheduled at intervals determined by the client.  The service of field equipment is carried out as one annual minor service and one annual major service. The schedule for these is a detailed below:

Minor Service

  1. Check all functions and picture quality from the control room.
  2. Using an oscilloscope, measure the video signal level immediately prior to insertion into the system and again at the distribution point after insertion into the system.
  3. Check local picture quality and camera functions as necessary.
  4. Using an oscilloscope, measure the video signal level before connection to the transmission medium.
  5. Measure power supply voltages to all ancillary equipment.
  6. Check all fixings and adjust as necessary.
  7. Check physical condition of camera and clean.
  8. Check back-focus and adjust as necessary
  9. Check wiper blade and replace if necessary.
  10. Replenish screen wash if washer fitted.
  11. Record all results, actions and measurements and present to client

Major Service

Control Equipment Service

Control equipment service is carried out once annually and includes the following:

  1. Inspect mains leads for damage and check for secure connection to equipment.
  2. Remove and clean fan filters and check fans for undue noise/wear.
  3. Clean exterior casings as applicable.
  4. Check keyboards for correct operation and calibration.
  5. Check video switching equipment for correct operation.
  6. Check monitors for correct operation and clean screens and casings.
  7. Record all results and findings and present to the client.

Breakdown Cover

General

SecureMAX will attend all mechanical breakdowns, civil related disruptions and transmission infrastructure faults assess any damage and provide a report together with suggestions for remedial action. We will also arrange for a specialist contractor to attend as necessary to expedite a speedy resolution with a minimum of downtime.

Breakdowns

Breakdowns are divided into three categories:

Standard

A crew will attend within 24 hours of receipt of the breakdown report during normal working hours.

Urgent

A crew will attend within 4 hours of receipt of the breakdown report during normal working hours.

Emergency

A crew will attend within 2 hours of receipt of the breakdown report during normal working hours or within 4 hours out of normal working hours. This cover is available 24 hours per day all year round.
